- Dr.S.Muhunthan is a Senior Lecturer attached to the Department of Hindu Civilization, and currently Head, Department of Hindu Civilization, Faculty of Hindu Studies, University of Jaffna. He graduated in 2001, completed M.A. in Cultural Studies in 2004.
- M.Phil. in Hindu Civilization, இயற்கை மெய்யியற் கருத்துக்களின் வளர்ச்சியில் திருமந்திரமும் திருவாசகமும் 2010, and was conferred a Ph.D. in 2019.
- Title of his Ph.D. Thesis: “A Comparative analysis on Cosmology among the Schools of Indian Philosophy with special reference to Vaisesika”. The scope of his current research interests encompasses Hindu Science, Ancient Hindu Political Theories, Indian Philosophy, and Hindu Law. He has also participated in many international and national conferences and presented research papers.
